The group ILLIT has earned its second Spotify song to reach 200 million streams overall.
According to Spotify on the 19th, ILLIT (Yoon-ah, Min-ju, Moka, Won-hee, Iroha)'s single album title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" reached a cumulative 200,290,825 plays as of the 17th.
This is an achievement eight months after its release last November, and "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify 73 days after its release and added another 100 million streams five months later.
"NOT CUTE ANYMORE" is a pop song based on a reggae rhythm that intuitively expresses the desire not to be seen as simply cute. Its minimal sound and ILLIT's pure vocals, sung as if speaking to the other person, are appealing. The performance, which adds restrained movements and rapidly changing facial expressions, has also drawn attention.
ILLIT has produced seven songs on Spotify with 100 million-plus streams so far, and their debut song "Magnetic" achieved more than 800 million plays in about 2 years and 1 month, the fastest among K-pop group debut songs. In addition, "Lucky Girl Syndrome," "Cherish (My Love)," "Tick-Tack," "빌려온 고양이 (Do the Dance)," and "jellyous" each exceeded 100 million streams.
