"Love In Sync" Kim Myungsoo and Kang Min-ah kissed to fix an emotional transfer malfunction.
On the 18th, episode 5 of the Lifetime weekend drama "Love In Sync" (written by Jung Yeon and Kim Seong-rae, directed by Kim Chil-bong) aired, portraying Cha Eun-hwan (played by Kim Myungsoo) stepping up to help Yoo Ji-an (played by Kang Min-ah) recover from a crisis in her acting career.
That day Cha Eun-hwan made a three-month manager contract with Yoo Ji-an on the condition that he keep it secret from his sister Cha Song-hwan (played by Cha Min-ji). Beginning to help Yoo Ji-an from a place closer than anyone else, he comforted her when she was nervous and became a solid supporter, and thanks to that Yoo Ji-an successfully finished the production team's meeting and, after announcing her casting, took a step closer to a new start.
Through emotional transfer, Yoo Ji-an confronted the guilt and wounds Cha Eun-hwan had carried for a long time. The emotions of Cha Eun-hwan, who was tormented by memories that he left his father and sister with irreparable wounds because of a childhood mistake, were transmitted intact, and Yoo Ji-an cried and held him warmly.
Yoo Ji-an then revealed that emotional transfer does not occur when they look into each other's eyes, and after feeling his rapidly beating heart she warned of a change in their relationship by kissing Cha Eun-hwan first.
But the next day when Cha Eun-hwan visited Yoo Ji-an he was embarrassed to hear her awkward inner thoughts, and on set an unexpected situation occurred in which the emotional transfer did not work properly. Cha Eun-hwan sensed that the direction of emotional transmission between the two had reversed, a state of "countertransference."
To make matters worse, the power abuse controversy surrounding Yoo Ji-an flared up again. Unable to bear the burden of public opinion, Yoo Ji-an decided to leave the drama and fell into despair once more.
While reanalyzing the power abuse exposure video, Cha Eun-hwan noticed that Yoo Ji-an's speech in the video had an unusually perfect sentence structure compared with her usual manner of speaking. Suspecting signs of someone directing her as if she were reading a script, he asked a detective he knew to find the whereabouts of the exposer Shin Mi-jung (played by Park Chae-won).
He also went directly to director Moon Kyung-sik (played by Jo Hyun-jae) to persuade him to give Yoo Ji-an a supporting-role audition opportunity, showing that he was working hard to help her revive her career. At first Yoo Ji-an hesitated because the co-star would be Han I-jin (played by Kwon Sohyun), but encouraged by Cha Eun-hwan's sincere support she mustered the courage and decided to try again.
To resolve the countertransference that blocked Yoo Ji-an's comeback, the two put their heads together. After careful thought, Cha Eun-hwan realized the only common factor between the day emotional transfer began and the day the reversal occurred was a "kiss." Accordingly, Yoo Ji-an proposed a kiss, and by kissing him she delivered a soft, fluttering excitement to home viewers.
