'Nam Bo-ra's life theater' actress Nam Bo-ra showed surprise and remorse about giving birth earlier than her due date.
On the 17th, a video titled 'I'm giving birth now? Went for a checkup and delivered in 4 hours…! The little bean's arrival on Earth story' was posted on Nam Bo-ra's YouTube channel. That day Nam Bo-ra appeared visibly tired and in poor condition.
Nam Bo-ra said, "My due date is in three days. I went for a checkup and yesterday at 3 a.m. I felt contractions for the first time. I slept for two hours and went to the hospital. My condition is really bad," expressing how hard it was. The checkup showed there was hardly any amniotic fluid. The doctor said, "Why is there so little amniotic fluid?" and "You can't have a natural birth. There's too little amniotic fluid."
Nam Bo-ra told the doctor, "I was in so much pain from 3 a.m. yesterday for two hours." She had no current contractions, but a pelvic exam had to be done. The result became even clearer. She had to have a cesarean section quickly.
Nam Bo-ra had said during her pregnancy that she aimed for a natural childbirth. Natural childbirth refers to delivery with minimal medical intervention, a method that avoids procedures that make birth easier, including epidurals. A well-known example is Son Yeon-jae.
Nam Bo-ra reacted in surprise, "So natural birth is completely impossible?" The nurse said, "The cervix is fine, but you should deliver quickly," informing her. Ultimately, after coming to the hospital for a checkup and then being prepped to give birth, Nam Bo-ra lay down within an hour and could not calm down. The doctor persuaded Nam Bo-ra, saying, "There's almost no amniotic fluid, so induction won't work. You need a cesarean. You have to have surgery, right? If you ask 100 obstetricians, all 100 will say this must be operated on, so it's best to do the surgery as soon as possible."
Nam Bo-ra called her husband to tell him the news. At that moment she burst into tears. She was overcome with worry that something might be wrong with the baby.
A nurse also comforted Nam Bo-ra at her side, saying, "Childbirth is unpredictable. Many mothers suddenly schedule a cesarean because of low amniotic fluid."
After delivering the baby by cesarean and holding the child, Nam Bo-ra wrote in the caption, 'As soon as I heard the baby cry I felt relieved, and I felt sorry that I couldn't protect him well.'
After giving birth Nam Bo-ra said, "It's true that a cesarean is pay later. It hurts," while also showing a positive side, saying, "My face is so swollen that my double eyelids are gone. I'm trying to laugh even now, but my stomach hurts."
However Nam Bo-ra blamed herself, saying, "I had a lot of schedules at the end, and that seemed a bit too much for me," and "I felt like the lack of amniotic fluid was somehow my fault." She added, "It would have been better if I had stayed in a better environment until the last month and come out comfortably, the tears of apology?" and "If I have a second child, then I will really think only of the child. This time I think I thought only of myself. That made me feel a bit sorry," repeatedly expressing remorse toward the child and evoking sympathy from viewers.
