IVE member Liz is the first OST artist for tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Spooky in Love".
According to her agency Starship Entertainment on the 19th, the tvN new Saturday-Sunday drama "Spooky in Love" OST Part.1 "Tunnel (Tunnel)", sung by Liz, will be released at 6 p.m. that day on various online music sites.
"Tunnel" is a song that captures the anxiety and loneliness felt in an endless darkness, and the hope of moving toward a faint light within it. Liz expresses the song's narrative with her clear, delicate tone and rich emotion, and is expected to further raise the drama's immersion.
In particular, Liz has steadily participated in drama and animation OSTs, expanding her musical spectrum. This "Tunnel" is her fifth OST, and it is garnering attention as the first track to open the work's musical offerings.
"Spooky in Love" portrays an occult romance full of ups and downs between chaebol heiress Cheon Yeo-ri (Park Eunbin), who sees ghosts, and passionate prosecutor Ma Kang-wook (Yang Sejong), who is most afraid of ghosts. The drama is a remake of a popular film of the same name and has been drawing attention even before airing, and Liz is expected to depict the characters' wounds and emotions more deeply through "Tunnel."
Liz has been recognized for her solid vocal skills and emotional singing through her activities with IVE. On IVE's second full-length album released in February, REVIVE+, she showcased the solo track "Unreal," proving her own musical color. Attention is focused on whether she can cement her status as an "OST powerhouse" by continuing steady OST activities.
Meanwhile, IVE is conducting its second world tour, "SHOW WHAT I AM." Having successfully completed performances at Kyocera Dome in April and Tokyo Dome in June, drawing about 127,000 attendees on the Japan tour, they will meet global fans by continuing their North American tour starting in Toronto, Canada, on the 21st and visiting Montreal, Newark, Austin, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Vancouver and others.
