Musical actor and broadcaster Kim Ho-yeong shared relaxed recent updates with his characteristic cheerful energy and unprecedented BUMSUP-defying daring fashion, and public attention has been fully focused as Ok Joo Hyun, a former member of Fin.K.L, has been intensifying a second public attack on him in succession.
On the 18th, Kim Ho-yeong suddenly posted several photos capturing his stylish daily life on his SNS channel. In the released photos, Kim Ho-yeong stood on a green lawn wearing a sophisticated blue patterned shirt and wide pants set, with a vivid yellow scarf tied around his head, projecting an exceptional aura. In another photo, he paired a gray shirt with a subtle sheen with see-through pleated pants and a white baseball cap to create a refined urban look. He interprets any style in his own colors.
But unlike Kim Ho-yeong's peaceful daily life, the musical world is heated by the rekindling of the so-called "Ok Jangpan" controversy that recently surfaced.
Earlier, on the 7th, Ok Joo Hyun, who blasted the musical world's practices of "autotune" and partial lip-syncing, saying "if moderation is exceeded, it's fraud," fanned the flames again on the 17th by speaking out on a fan communication platform. Ok Joo Hyun said, "I was surprised that the backlash went to younger singers. I'm not saying they shouldn't use tuning for performances," while at the same time demanding an apology again from Kim Ho-yeong, who was at the center of the past "Ok Jangpan" controversy.
Ok Joo Hyun also said, "I'm waiting," and directly targeted Kim Ho-yeong, saying, "It's time to either collectively procure my friend Ok Jangpan and prove it, or do something with your mouth and hands." She continued her sharp criticism, saying, "It would be hard to simply pass over the cases that brought defamation and disgrace to production companies; it's quite deep karma (retribution)."
In 2022, when the 10th anniversary lineup for the musical Elisabeth was announced and suspicions of nepotism arose over casting, speculation circulated that Kim Ho-yeong's SNS post saying "it's Ok Jangpan now" was shooting at Ok Joo Hyun. Ok Joo Hyun responded with a defamation lawsuit, turning it into a mudslinging fight, but after appeals from first-generation musical actors, Ok Joo Hyun withdrew the suit and the matter seemed to be settled for the time being.
Through this additional disclosure, however, Ok Joo Hyun said, "If I had not withdrawn the lawsuit at the time, it would have been a dispute involving large sums of money, and I most regret withdrawing it," and expressed resentment, saying, "Kim Ho-yeong, while thanking me, gave an absurd explanation that he wasn't targeting me but was promoting a friend's floor mat. I have never received an apology." She revealed her pointed feelings without restraint.
Despite Ok Joo Hyun's merciless "second public attack" day after day and her strong pressure for an official explanation and apology, Kim Ho-yeong has continued his my-way approach, casually sharing his daily life without any statement.
