Stray Kids transformed into solemn "hunter" ahead of their new mini album release, raising the heart rates of global music fans.
Stray Kids are conducting various teasing promotions ahead of the release of their new mini album THIS & THAT (This & That) on Aug. 7. On the afternoon of the 17th, through their official social media channels, they unexpectedly released the "UNVEIL : TRACK" video, Stray Kids' signature teasing content, kicking off comeback preparations. The first song to be unveiled was "FARMING," the album's track 4.
The released video captured the tense yet witty journey of the "hunter" Stray Kids taking part in a minefield-clearing mission. The members' zeal as they filled the walls with operation plans and their solemn determination to find the mines drew attention. In particular, the pop digital nostalgia visuals such as pixel art, the strange direction, and the members' hip styling reminiscent of game characters visually maximized the song's rhythmic appeal. The lyric that echoed at the end of the video, "All day, every night until we're satisfied We're FARMING," heightened expectations for the full track to the utmost.
The new track "FARMING" adds authenticity as 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), Stray Kids' core and self-producing team, wrote and composed it themselves. Member Bang Chan also took part in the arrangement, showcasing his musical capabilities. As they had left the free-spirited comment "Do what you want This n That" on the previously released tracklist, attention is focused on the stylish hip-hop rhythms they will present and the entertaining visual fun that will captivate listeners.
The mini album THIS & THAT includes a total of eight well-filled tracks: "FARMING," the title track of the same name "This & That," the pre-release song "RUN IT," "After You," "I Do," and a festival version of the title track. Once again, 3RACHA took a leading role in creating all the songs, and is expected to demonstrate Stray Kids' wide musical spectrum as "music peddlers" who digest any genre in their own color.
