Dongchimi singer-songwriter No Sa-yeon recalled the final moments regarding her mother.
On the 18th, MBN Dongchimi (hereinafter "Dongchimi") aired an episode with the theme "mother." No Sa-yeon said, "Mom was very healthy, but she weakened overnight," and said that her mother, who had been living at her younger brother's house at the time, suddenly had to move to her eldest son's home at the younger brother's request because the household had unexpectedly grown. That, however, broke her mother's heart.
No Sa-yeon said, "She was so hurt that she told her friends, 'I'm going to my eldest son's house; I'm going to die now.'" She said, "I called my older brother and he said Mom had early signs of a cold, so she took medicine and went to sleep. I told him, 'Take good care of her. If something happens to Mom while she's at your house, it's your fault.'" No Sa-yeon, who had not been able to visit her older brother's home because of her father-in-law's birthday and her husband Lee Mu-song's birthday, heard the next day that her mother had passed away and wept uncontrollably.
No Sa-yeon said she thought, "My husband's birthday is my mother's memorial day."
Fortunately her mother was revived by cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but she remained in a coma for three years, and No Sa-yeon said she spent those three years preparing for the goodbye by stroking her mother's hands, feet and face.
