Kim Hee-cheul, Leeteuk and Daesung revealed behind-the-scenes stories of past company power struggles.
On the 17th, a video titled ZIP DAESUNG ep.116 Leeteuk X Hee-cheul | Super Junior clash final roundup was posted on the YouTube channel ZIP DAESUNG.
That day, when Daesung saw Super Junior's Leeteuk and Kim Hee-cheul appear, he said, "I don't know when they will leave, but it seems there is a collusive relationship with SM. I have been cohabiting with SM for about a month," and confessed that they met repeatedly.
Kim Hee-cheul said, "Maybe it's because I left the company," in wonder, and Leeteuk said, "In the past the companies were very powerful, and in fact SM and YG were the two great powers."
Then Kim Hee-cheul recalled that time and lamented, "The power struggles were too intense." Leeteuk added, "They were too intense. Not only YG but every agency except SM was an enemy."
Daesung, who was also with YG as well as SM, said he likewise received that kind of rote training. Leeteuk revealed, "Long ago a boss told me, 'You must not be intimidated when you go out. You are the leader. You must go out and win no matter what. It's SM,'" he said.
Furthermore, Super Junior and Big Bang reportedly engaged in "ending power struggles" during music shows. Kim Hee-cheul said, "When it was busy I wanted to do only the opening and go home, but the company told me not to go up. If I waited, Big Bang was waiting beside us."
He added, "I left home in a huff. I thought, 'I really can't stand this.' They are all singers, but the companies pitted us against each other."
Daesung empathized, "The singers themselves didn't really care. Even if someone didn't particularly care about the ending, because other companies were watching, the thought was to beat at least that one."
