The TXT member Yeonjun of the group TOMORROW X TOGETHER demonstrated overwhelming album power with his second mini album and set a new record this year for Korean solo singers.
On the 17th, the country's largest album sales tracking site Hanteo Chart reported that Yeonjun's mini album 2 'NO LABELS: PART 02,' released on the 10th, sold a total of 738,072 copies in its first week (initial week) based on the release date. This is the highest figure among albums released this year by domestic solo singers.
In particular, Yeonjun easily surpassed the initial week sales of his previous work 'NO LABELS: PART 01' (601,105 copies), achieving a perfect career high. The new release sold more than 660,000 copies on its first day alone, and with just three days of tracking it rose to the top of last week's weekly album chart (July 6–12).
Public reaction to the new title track 'Ice Cream' is also hot. Yeonjun has drawn praise by showcasing his distinctive, fresh performances through various music shows and content. The choreography, which he personally participated in creating, displays Yeonjun's unique groove that is not easy to imitate even within a relaxed mood. Above all, the so-called "girl too hot" part, with the lyric "Oh girl, too hot 식혀 네 마음," has an intense addictive quality that prompts fans to play it on repeat.
This buzz has led to a dance challenge craze on short-form platforms. On TikTok, videos using the 'Ice Cream' track surpassed 67,000, and it ranked No. 2 among rising popular audio on Instagram Reels. With support from TOMORROW X TOGETHER members and the participation of leading K-pop artists including ITZY Yeji, SEVENTEEN Dino, Cortis Sunghyun, TWICE Momo, MEOVV Suin and Ella, the challenge ignited global enthusiasm.
The music video's rise has been fierce. The 'Ice Cream' music video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube on the 13th, about three days after its release, and crossed the 20 million view mark around 8:20 p.m. on the 16th, proving its persistent global popularity.
Meanwhile, the title track 'Ice Cream' from the second installment of the 'NO LABELS' series, 'NO LABELS: PART 02,' which captures Yeonjun's unadorned self, sensually depicts a cool relationship that is sweet but maintains certain boundaries, capturing listeners' ears as the perfect Yeonjun-style summer song this year.
