"A Trap Called Desire" features two faces entangled by desire: Seol Junghwan and Joo Saebyeok.
KBS2's new daily drama A Trap Called Desire, set to premiere on Aug. 10 at 7:50 p.m., written by Koo Ji-won, directed by Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo, and produced by Studio Bom and Monster Union, will present Seol Junghwan and Joo Saebyeok as Cha Seok-jin and Kang Hae-ra, respectively, to viewers.
The stills released on the 17th capture the contrasting charms of Seol Junghwan and Joo Saebyeok. Cha Seok-jin gives a warm impression with a gentle smile and calm eyes. Even within a genial atmosphere that inspires trust in everyone, an unwavering, solid inner self is glimpsed, while Kang Hae-ra's flawless styling and confident expressions convey a composure as if she has everything in hand; her cold gaze, meanwhile, shows a fierce determination not to lose what she wants.
In this way, Seol Junghwan and Joo Saebyeok revealed different charms and presences through just their character stills, foreshadowing the drama's tension. Viewers are even more curious about how the two will be entwined in relationship and emotional lines as A Trap Called Desire unfolds.
Production said, "Actors Seol Junghwan and Joo Saebyeok have completed Cha Seok-jin and Kang Hae-ra with their own charms through delicate expressiveness from a past 10 years ago to the present. The dense acting and synergy the two actors will present are expected to elevate the work's immersion, so we hope you look forward to it."
A Trap Called Desire will premiere on Aug. 10 as the successor to the currently airing Pearl in Red.
