The group BTS briefly steps away from the glamorous spotlight on stage and offers warm comfort to global music fans in their most honest, ordinary selves.
BTS today (17th) at 1 p.m. released an additional track of their fifth studio album Arirang (ARIRANG), the song "NORMAL." The newly released track is composed of three versions, including the Korean version, which was pre-released and drew an explosive response at the June BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN BUSAN concert, and an instrumental (Instrumental) version, adding variety.
Along with the audio release, the original music video for "NORMAL" was exclusively pre-released on the global music platform Spotify that day. It is scheduled to be officially uploaded to other platforms such as YouTube on the 19th. The music video captures the true faces hidden behind a top star's glamorous exterior in a raw way that draws attention. It portrays the members' disheveled everyday lives without exaggeration — singing while getting splashed by water or lying down looking exhausted — in the stillness that follows the peak of emotion. The stark contrast between the traces of a lavish party and the vulnerable appearance encountered the next morning offers quiet empathy and comfort to those experiencing anxiety and fatigue in daily life.
The alternative pop song "NORMAL" expresses the emptiness and fear experienced by the seven members through a calm yet deeply emotive singing-rap. World-renowned producer Ryan Tedder participated in the production to maximize its completeness, and earlier on April 4 it entered the U.S. Billboard main singles chart Hot 100 at No. 41, remaining on the chart for three consecutive weeks, proving its global commercial appeal.
Meanwhile, BTS, who are demonstrating their solid status as global pop icons, are preparing to take the stage on a global scale like never before. They have been invited to the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA CONCACAF World Cup™ final, to be held on the 19th (local time) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, New York, where they are scheduled to share a historic stage with international pop stars such as Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber.
