Pop star Britney Spears drew intense attention after sharing a photo of baby clothes on social media, prompting speculation that she might be pregnant with a third child or becoming a "grandmother."
Britney Spears recently posted a photo on her personal social media of a baby spacesuit and knit baby bloomers, leaving an enigmatic message.
Spears added the caption alongside the photo: "If you're lucky, there is someone unbelievably beautiful I'd like to introduce you to. Hopefully it will be within this year."
Without providing specifics, she continued with the somewhat cryptic and mysterious lines, "If not, the most beautiful things will never be seen in the world!" and "Whatever happens… it came very close," fueling curiosity.
Along with this, Spears posted side-by-side nostalgic photos of her cradling one of her two sons, Sean (20) or Jayden (19). In addition, she shared an artistic image of a baby sleeping inside an opened shell and a current photo of her second son Jayden posing affectionately with a young woman with brown hair.
Foreign media and fans have offered various speculations that Spears, at 44, may be preparing to welcome a third child or is hinting that she might become a "grandmother" to her son Jayden's baby.
Britney Spears had her two sons, Sean and Jayden, during a short three-year marriage to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, and they divorced in 2007. Thereafter, Spears was subject to a conservatorship led by her father Jamie Spears for 13 years before finally gaining her freedom in November 2021.
