Global girl group KATSEYE, which rose to the center of the worldwide pop market after winning three awards at the American Music Awards (AMA), reveals the hot sweat and tear-filled narrative hidden behind its dazzling stage on screen.
On the 15th (local time), KATSEYE's official YouTube channel and social media posted the official trailer for their first theatrical documentary 'KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS' (KATSEYE: Wild Haatz).
The released 55-second trailer unfolds swiftly against the addictive beat of KATSEYE's hit song "PINKY UP." The video opens with leader Sofia's candid monologue asking, "How did we get here so fast?" and shows their domination of major global music festival stages such as Coachella and Lollapalooza. Scenes of tens of thousands of fans chanting KATSEYE's name draw attention.
Behind the shining glory was a time of brutal training. The trailer intercuts unreleased behind-the-scenes shots of members shedding hot tears and sweat and throwing themselves into practice day and night, proving that their rapid rise was no accident.
At the same time, offstage they reveal KATSEYE's unpretentious and quirky innocent charm without filter, playfully teasing one another like girls their age and bursting into laughter nonstop.
The theatrical documentary 'KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS' deeply explores KATSEYE's growth into a global pop group and the special bond with their fans, who are their strongest support. It contains candid interviews and vivid unreleased footage never seen before, promising the birth of another well-made music documentary.
KATSEYE was created under the "K-pop methodology" led by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk and swept three awards at the AMA, including 'new artist of the year,' just two years after debut. Their third EP 'WILD' is set to be released on Aug. 14, and KATSEYE's first theatrical documentary 'KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS' will open in theaters worldwide on Aug. 12.
