"A Bona fide Killer" released a second teaser video depicting the tangled relationships among Kong Hyojin, Jung Jun-won and Lee Sang Yi.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama A Bona fide Killer, which premieres on the 31st at 9:50 p.m., is a work that depicts the tense double life of a working mom with the most dangerous job in the world. (planned by Kwon Seong-chang, written by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hun)
The second teaser released on the 16th begins with Yubona (Kong Hyojin) on a rooftop aiming a sniper rifle with overwhelming charisma. With the calm line "Do it during the day," she raises the tension, then quickly declares she has to leave on time, saying "I have to pick up the child," creating laughs with the surprising charm of switching between a cold-blooded killer and a real-life mother.
Then, with the meaningful line "may Hwanhee's happiest day become that bastard's funeral day," the scene unfolds of Yubona moving to punish a released criminal. But immediately after she receives a call from her mother-in-law and rushes home, the contrasting reality of the daughter-in-law is shown. Yubona silently bows her head before her mother-in-law Ok Seon-ja (Cha Mi Kyeong), foreshadowing the ordinary daughter-in-law's struggle hidden behind the perfect killer.
Kwon Tae-seong (Jung Jun-won) attracts attention with his devoted husband persona. Not only does he gently embrace his wife, he also protects Yubona with his body when his mother causes a commotion, showing the reassuring image of a husband.
But Kwon Tae-seong, who sharply pursues the truth while running around crime scenes, begins to uncover the reality of the case like a Kingfisher-specialized reporter, and eventually faces a precarious situation in which he grows closer to the secret of the wife he loves most.
Lee Dong-jin (Lee Sang Yi) also forms tense suspense by revealing a personable side when he tells his close friend Kwon Tae-seong, "I'll only protect the kind sister-in-law and pretty Yul," while showing the determined detective side obsessively chasing the perpetrator, saying "Nice to meet you, Kingfisher." Interest is focused on his fate as he continues the investigation without knowing that the Kingfisher he is pursuing is the very family he must protect.
At the end of the video, the criminals Yubona must punish appear one after another, raising the tension to a climax. In particular, Yubona's firm voice answering her daughter Kwon Yul (Hwang Bom-i)'s question "What does mom do for work?" with "work the world needs" shows her conviction to protect both family and justice, increasing anticipation for the full broadcast.
