Actor Gong Yoo will hold his first Asia fan meeting tour since his debut.
On the 16th, his agency Management Soop said Gong Yoo will hold the "2026 Gong Yoo Asia fan meeting tour 'The Long Take'" touring six Asian cities from Yokohama, Japan, starting Oct. 4, to Bangkok, Jakarta, Macao, Manila and Seoul.
This fan meeting is Gong Yoo's first Asia tour since his debut. It will be a special occasion for the actor Gong Yoo, as well as for Gong Ji-cheol the person, to look back on the time he has walked with fans and share new stories they will write together going forward.
The performance title "The Long Take" is inspired by the film technique called the "long take." It conveys the meaning that Gong Yoo intends to connect the time he has passed and the moments to come with fans as if they were one long scene.
Earlier, Gong Yoo first announced the fan meeting in a handwritten letter he posted on his birthday on the 10th. He said, "Thanks to all of you who have been with me for a long time, I naturally reflected on the times that have passed," and added, "This year I prepared an occasion to face that time directly and be together. I hope we can add a new scene to the story that has continued for a long time. I am always grateful," conveying his sincere feelings to fans.
In the teaser video released afterward, Gong Yoo's distinctive modern yet dandy vibe drew attention. The video also revealed the fan meeting tour schedule. Starting in Yokohama on Oct. 4, he will visit Bangkok on the 10th and Jakarta on the 17th, and in November he will spend special time with fans in Macao on the 7th, Manila on the 21st and Seoul on the 28th. Detailed schedules including ticket sales will be announced later.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo appears as the lead character Dong-gu in Netflix's new series "Tantara," which is set to be released this year.
