Pop star Ariana Grande has reunited with her ex Ricky Alvarez.
On the 14th (local time), U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six reported that a source said, "Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez are seeing each other again, but they are not rushing the relationship."
A source said, "Ariana is currently very busy with tour dates and other commitments, so she is taking the relationship slowly," and "the two are taking one step at a time."
The source added, "Ricky has maintained a close relationship with Ariana's family for a long time, which is something Ariana is especially grateful for," saying, "He has consistently stayed by her side, even visiting to offer support during the tour, and Ariana has taken note of that."
Another source explained, "The two enjoy spending time together again, and rather than putting pressure on the relationship, they are naturally watching its future direction."
Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez sparked reunion rumors last month when they were spotted spending time with friends at a restaurant in Austin, Texas, for Ariana's birthday. The two later spent the U.S. Independence Day holiday together, and were also seen leaving a Whole Foods store in Boca Raton, Florida, together.
Notably, Ariana Grande gave a meaningful gesture that fueled reunion rumors during a recent "Eternal Sunshine" tour show in New York.
While performing her signature song "Thank U, Next," she changed the original lyric "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh" to "Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back."
Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez dated from 2015 to 2016. The two met when Ricky joined Ariana's Honeymoon Tour as a backup dancer, and they were known to have maintained an amicable relationship after their breakup.
This reunion rumor emerged after Ariana Grande recently split from actor Ethan Slater, who co-starred with her in the film Wicked.
