Lee Sora's hiatus was the aftermath of her worsening throat condition and the resulting deepened depression. About her health at the time, 이소라 recalled, "I was so bad that I couldn't sing," and "I stayed at home so depressed that I didn't even go to the hospital. Hearing the doctor say 'it's bad' was so frightening,"
She continued, "I just kept house at home. I went out once a year for a three-day winter concert. That was contracted in advance. If not for that, I probably wouldn't have gone out either. I'm thankful they contracted me in advance. Putting on shoes and taking the elevator down happens once a year," adding, "When I saw fellow singers I was in so much pain I didn't even watch TV. I would avoid everything," which shocked viewers.
In particular, she said, "I was sick. I weighed about 90 to 100 kg. It was so terrible," adding, "My blood pressure exceeded 190. The doctor prescribed medication and I came to my senses. I had to live. Thinking that if I wanted to live I had to go out and sing, I began going outside from then on. I also started YouTube this year. I filmed 10 episodes and finished one season," which added to the poignancy.
