Singer Koo Jun-yeob joined his late wife Seohee's inheritance dispute, and it was recently reported that he visited the late woman's grave.
According to recent local reports in Hong Kong and Taiwan, Koo Jun-yeob visited Seohee's grave at Jinbaoshan in New Taipei City, Taiwan, on the 8th.
A netizen who saw Koo Jun-yeob said they went to Jinbaoshan to pay respects and met Koo Jun-yeob; it was drizzling at the time, but Koo Jun-yeob was not using an umbrella and had placed a black umbrella beside a chair.
The netizen said Koo Jun-yeob sat in front of the grave watching videos of Seohee taken while she was alive on a tablet, wiped his eyes and looked very sad, and did not notice people approaching. The netizen added that when people arrived and offered flowers, Koo Jun-yeob quietly stood up, yielded the spot and exchanged greetings.
Amid reports about Koo Jun-yeob's recent condition, he has recently been engaged in a dispute over the inheritance of the late Seohee.
Local reports say Koo Jun-yeob has not officially given up the legal rights he could assert regarding the late Seohee's estate, and both sides will enter mediation next week through their lawyers.
Earlier, when asked about Seohee's estate, worth about 120 billion won, Koo Jun-yeob said, "All the inheritance was accumulated through blood, sweat and tears by Heewon while alive to protect the family she loved, so I intend to give all authority over it to my mother-in-law," and added, in particular, "I plan to take legal measures through lawyers to protect the children's rights until they become adults so that bad people cannot touch them."
Given that mediation procedures are about to begin, it suggests Koo Jun-yeob has not completed the procedure to renounce inheritance. Regarding this, Koo Jun-yeob's lawyer did not offer any comment.
In the upcoming mediation, lawyers for both sides will attend as representatives, and plans include discussing how to clarify the method of dividing the estate. Interest is growing because this inheritance also relates to the two minor children of Seohee inheriting two-thirds of the estate.
