Singer-songwriter Song Sohee shows a markedly changed image.
On the 15th at 10:50 p.m., EBS' Space Sympathy' will feature Song Sohee, who has built her own musical world beyond the 'gugak girl,' and Ha Hyun Sang, who embarks on a new start with his second full-length album 'New Boat,' performing on stage.
First, Song Sohee shows a more mature side as a singer-songwriter along with music that freely crosses genre boundaries. Beginning with 'PARADE (生)' and continuing through 'Broken Things', 'Not a Dream' and 'Infodemics,' she unfolds her own musical narrative. Reports say the atmosphere remained so heated throughout the performance that audience members stood and breathed together.
Song Sohee confessed, "I did a lot of worrying before becoming an adult. I thought I started making new music late, so I thought a lot about various musical worlds." She added, "I think my appearance on stage is my strongest self. When I sing I feel complete happiness and the most freedom," expressing her affection for music.
Next on stage, Ha Hyun Sang met the audience with a stage that blended his sensitivity and rock sound with songs such as 'No wayway', 'RADIO RADIO', 'Odyssey' and 'Lighthouse'. In particular, on 'Wawa', which he cited as his most cherished song, he is expected to play acoustic guitar himself and convey deep emotion.
He confessed, "I kept clinging to the thought that 'I must do well,' which led me to belittle myself and ultimately I experienced a slump." He said that after spending a month in Jeju Island he rediscovered the joy of music, and introduced his second full-length album 'New Boat' as "an album containing the strength to move forward again and a pledge to myself," announcing a new start.
