Actor Yang Sejong previewed the new charms he will show through "Spooky in Love."
On the 14th at the Elliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a production press conference was held for tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Spooky in Love." Director Lee Min-soo and actors Park Eunbin, Yang Sejong and Ong Seongwu attended the production press conference and spoke.
"Spooky in Love," based on the film of the same name, is an occult romance about a chaebol heiress who sees ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is most afraid of ghosts.
In the work, Yang Sejong plays passionate prosecutor Ma Gang-wook. He, who will play the role that Lee Min-ki played in the original film, said, "The character setting is completely different from the original. Whenever I felt the burden, I focused more on the script and searched for new things with Eunbin and the director on set and did a lot of rehearsals. One aspect that can make the character look colorful was that it was so fun to see him get startled by ghosts on set while filming. Actually, I'm a coward too. So I think those parts might come across as fun," noting the burden and the differences from the original.
Director Lee Min-soo said about the differences from the original, "What I wanted to show compared with the original is that the characters have become richer, but especially when I watched the original, Son Ye-jin was very charming, but you will be able to see Park Eunbin being just as pretty and attractive. You will be able to see lovely looks and a charismatic company president look added, so you will be able to see a variety of sides."
He continued about Yang Sejong, "Ma Gang-wook's existing charms are his clumsy charm and insignificance, and he is not inferior to anyone. Actor Yang Sejong plays insignificant acting so amusingly well, and an adult sexy charm was also added. That aspect will probably be a point. Actor Ong Seongwu plays a role that did not exist in the original, so he acts as a core axis of conflict in the drama. All three actors acted so well that you will be able to feel as much interesting charm as the movie," he said confidently.
When Yang Sejong was asked about the new appearance he will show through the drama, he said, "I follow her around," and pointed to his "dog-like charm." Then Park Eunbin added, "keyring man," further raising expectations.
Meanwhile, "Spooky in Love" will premiere on the 18th at 9:10 p.m.<
