Actress Han Guru surprised many by admitting she drank alcohol every single day for six months in the past.
On the 14th, a video titled 'Actress Han Chae-ah and Kyung Soo-jin and I ate three bowls of Pyongyang naengmyeon in one day' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Han Guru'. That day, Han Guru enjoyed an outing with Han Chae-ah and Kyung Soo-jin, whom she had been close with.
The three, who visited a famous restaurant in Seoul, tasted Pyongyang naengmyeon and expressed amazement. Kyung Soo-jin joked, "If you drink alcohol here, you'll really get wasted from this broth," and added, "Onban has a lot of meat in it. You could drink three bottles per person."
In response, Han Guru said, "There was a time when I drank a lot when I was going through a hard period," and added, "For six months I drank every day after putting the kids to bed. I couldn't sleep well, so I forced myself to drink one bottle of soju each time. I drank and got drunk and then slept," which surprised listeners.
Han Chae-ah reacted, "Don't you usually not drink much?" and Han Guru confessed, "I would put the kids to bed, come out to the room, set a table alone in the playroom and drink without any side dishes. It only upset my stomach. There was no hangover. It was the only period in my life when I drank alcohol."
Kyung Soo-jin said, "That must have been the hardest time for you," and Han Chae-ah said, "My throat is tight now," adding, "I didn't know either. It's not a failure, but in the process you're walking through.." and eventually showed tears.
Meanwhile, Han Guru married a non-celebrity businessman nine years her senior in 2015 and has twin children. Having left the entertainment industry temporarily to raise her children, Han Guru announced her divorce in 2022 and returned to activities, and she is currently raising the children on her own.<
