Seventeen's Vernon joins a cross-border love story.
On the 14th, OSEN reported that Seventeen's Vernon, B1A4's Sandeul and actress Kim Su-jin finished recording SBS' Tails of Tales. Their episode is scheduled to air on the 23rd.
Tails of Tales (hereafter Kkokkomu) is a program in which three storytellers study on their own and convey what they have felt one-on-one to their respective "story friends" in the most ordinary spaces. After a 2020 pilot, it met viewers through season 1 and season 2, and it has been part of the regular lineup since Oct. 2021, taking responsibility for Thursday nights every week.
This is Vernon's first appearance on Kkokkomu. Vernon, who debuted in 2015 as a member of Seventeen, has shown his variety skills by appearing on various entertainment programs. Having been active on numerous variety shows, attention is on whom Vernon, as a "new Kkomi," will talk with to heighten immersion.
B1A4's Sandeul, known for his distinctive reactions even within the group, is expected to shine on Kkokkomu, and Kim Su-jin, who has shown rich emotional acting through films such as The King's Warden and the drama Perfect Crown, is expected to make Kkokkomu even richer.
The stories Vernon, Sandeul and Kim Su-jin will hear as listeners are those of the legendary table tennis couple representing the Korea-China table tennis world, Ahn Jae-hyung and Jiao Zemin. The two developed a romantic relationship while competing at the 1986 Asian Games and, overcoming all the hardships of the 1980s when international marriages were uncommon, they ultimately married. Their love story, known to have lived apart for about 20 years due to business and other reasons, is set to color Thursday night.
SBS' Tails of Tales airs every Thursday at 10:20 p.m.
