Singer Seo In Young will take the Waterbomb stage this summer following her successful diet. What was once a discouraging moment mocked as "belly fat bomb" has become a bittersweet memory rather than reality.
On the 14th, Seo In Young's agency SW Entertainment said "Seo In Young will perform at 'Waterbomb Sokcho 2026,' held Aug. 22 at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano in Gangwon Province."
In the released poster, Seo In Young captivated attention with a striking yellow ribbon and short hair styling. In this performance she will appear as part of the orange team alongside Rain (Jung Jihoon), Simon Dominic, Lee Youngji, Haon, Now I'm Young, Nam You Joung and others.
This Waterbomb appearance draws more attention because it coincides with the recent teasing moment when she was called the "belly fat bomb." Recently on her YouTube channel "Seo In-young's Turning Over a New Leaf," Seo In Young visited Jo Mina's home and could not hide her envy as she saw Jo Mina's well-defined abs.
At the time Seo In Young said, "I'm going to Waterbomb. Change my body just for one day. Don't do belly fluff, make it body fluff," expressing her diet concerns. Jo Mina said, "Two months is enough," and revealed her own exercise secret. She said, "In the past I used to do 3,000 jumps a day with a jump rope, and even now I do about 1,000. It takes only about 35 minutes, more than you think," which surprised everyone.
Trying the jump rope herself, Seo In Young broke into a sweat shortly after and raised both hands saying, "This is really harder than it looks. What am I going to do. Cancel Waterbomb for me."
Seeing this, the producers teased, "It's not Waterbomb right now but belly fat bomb," and Seo In Young provoked laughter by declaring, "I'll lose it! Just watch!"
And the promise became reality. Having succeeded in her diet, Seo In Young ultimately made the Waterbomb lineup and will take the stage this summer. The Waterbomb she once shouted "please cancel" about is now expected to signal the return of the "original girl crush."
