Musical actor Kim Ho-young broke his long silence and issued an apology, but it was not directed at Ok Joo Hyun, who was at the center of the "Okjangpan" controversy.
On the 14th, Kim Ho Young posted on his social account story, "I'm sorry it's already sold out!!!!!!" along with a photo of himself looking surprised.
The released photo stated that the product Kim Ho Young was conducting a group purchase for sold out quickly as soon as it opened and that additional stock had been secured. Kim Ho Young expressed his gratitude to the buyers who participated in the group purchase, saying, "I am once again deeply grateful for the warm support you sent."
The post drew attention because it was the first time Kim Ho Young had posted in a long while and because he used the wording "sorry." Kim Ho Young is currently at the center of the 'Okjangpan controversy' that Ok Joo Hyun resurrected after four years.
Ok Joo Hyun recently pointed to Kim Ho Young and lamented that she had to endure deep pain for four years because of the phrase he posted in 2022, "Asaripan is a thing of the past, now it's okjangpan."
In particular, Ok Joo Hyun said she did not receive an apology even when she dropped the charges against Kim Ho Young, saying, "The thing I regret most after that is withdrawing the complaint." Ok Joo Hyun said she was told the reason Kim Ho Young posted "Okjangpan" was "that he posted it to promote a friend's father's floor covering."
In her statement, Ok Joo Hyun mentioned Kim Ho Young and said, "What I want is not a simple war of emotions. If those words were really not directed at me, I want to ask why so many people thought of me, and why the damage and wounds that caused have never once been explained in public."
Despite Ok Joo Hyun's attack, Kim Ho Young did not make any statement, citing reasons such as a trip to New York, United States. Rather, during that period he showed a my-way attitude, uploading new videos to YouTube, among other things.
Finally opening his mouth to convey an apology, Kim Ho Young did not direct it at Ok Joo Hyun. But because there is significance in having broken his silence, attention is on whether he will issue a statement that can resolve the misunderstandings that have built up over four years.
