"Malja Show" gently comforted the hearts of those who experienced the pain of loss.
On the 13th at 9:30 p.m., KBS2's "Malja Show" aired a touching dilemma of a young funeral director who lives carrying the sorrow of losing his father early, drawing attention.
That day the storyteller said cautiously, "Seven years ago I lost my father at a very young age. I know that feeling better than anyone." He continued with a heartfelt concern: "Whenever I meet young bereaved people like myself, I want to find my own warm word that can comfort them."
In response, "Malja halmae" Kim Young Hee soothed the storyteller's heart with her characteristic deep empathy. Kim Young Hee empathized deeply with the storyteller's beautiful heart, saying, "Because she has personally experienced pain, she wants to offer one more word with her whole body and whole heart." She added, "You don't have to say anything grand— the timing to convey sincerity will come naturally," and offered heartfelt encouragement by saying, "The bereaved will likely already sense your sincerity as they weep with you in their hearts," which moved many.
Guest Shin Ki Ru, who had recently been plunged into deep sorrow after losing his mother, also shared his painful experience frankly, bringing tears to viewers' eyes.
Shin Ki Ru confessed, "I didn't know my mother would go so soon. I always thought there would be more time," and shed the held-back tears. He expressed gratitude, saying, "At the time the funeral director told me, 'It may be hard to bear now, but it will get better with time,' and that was a greater comfort than the clichéd 'cheer up,'" and he lamented the lingering longing, saying, "I don't know when I will be okay, or if I will really be okay."
In response to Shin Ki Ru's pain, a funeral director in the audience offered a comforting hand. He conveyed warm consolation, saying, "Rather than thinking your mother is not by your side, I hope you live your life thinking she always lives and breathes in your heart," filling the scene with emotion.
Meanwhile, that day's broadcast delivered not only emotion but also cheerful laughter. A member of the audience who had caused a stir in episode 2 with a story titled "the worst boyfriend" made a surprise return. He shyly confessed, "I've been in Seoul for a year and I feel very lonely. I want to find new love," and Kim Young Hee spontaneously arranged a surprise "Malja-ting" to match him with a single man.
