On the 13th episode of the SBS variety show 아니 근데 진짜 (hereinafter "아근진"), IVY, Cha Jung-won and Joo Hyun-young appeared, each showing different charms and surprising variety sensibilities that brought laughter to viewers.
That day, IVY, who enjoyed her heyday with "Sonata of Temptation," opened up, "It was a kind of song I had never heard in my life. The producer ordered me to sing as annoyingly as possible, so I put energy into every single word when I sang."
She said, "I was originally a ballad trainee. I sang only ballads for four years, so I never shouted. So that part was difficult at first," and added, "I even took lessons from a vocal teacher who sang more annoyingly than I did," drawing attention.
About the unique choreography, she said, "Because the song itself is so unusual, the teacher who arranged the choreography said it couldn't be done with normal choreography, so a distinctive dance came out," and added, "I made the facial expressions myself."
Later IVY confessed to stage fright, surprising viewers. She revealed, "I always get scared. I developed stage fright about 10 years ago and went through a personally difficult time. Even now I take medicine one hour before going on stage."
Meanwhile, IVY said she once faced a serious retirement crisis, confessing, "I had food that upset my stomach before a performance. Of all times, it happened during the most intense part of the choreography in the 'Chicago' performance. I endured with superhuman strength, tore my costume and ran to the bathroom," which evoked sympathy.
