Global boy group AEN stamped its presence as the ultimate in refreshing charm ahead of its debut.
Starship Entertainment and Japanese comprehensive entertainment corporations Amuse have joined forces to introduce the seven-member global boy group AEN, which is heating up debut excitement by releasing a variety of content for the mini album track Focus On Me.
Recently, starting with a performance film and then releasing concept photos, a choreography video and behind-the-scenes content in sequence, AEN captured global fans' attention with their fresh visuals and talent. The track Focus On Me elicited reactions from local fans immediately after it was first unveiled at a greeting showcase held in Japan last month.
In the released concept photos, AEN showcased the epitome of bright youthful charm. Against a backdrop of blue nature and wearing casual styling, the members displayed warm chemistry in group shots, while in individual shots they boasted seven distinct, perfected visuals ranging from intense gazes to soft smiles.
Following their visuals, the released choreography video proved their solid skills with a surprise twist: sharp, synchronized choreography. Wearing white tops and denim pants to maximize a refreshing look, they delivered dynamic performances with flawless precision.
In addition to the behind-the-scenes video, the fresh energy of youth that filled the set and the friendly, affectionate chemistry offstage — including leader Jiyong picking up a camera himself to capture the members' warm interactions — were conveyed intact, becoming a special gift for global fans.
Soompi, the largest U.S. Korean pop news site, focused closely on their debut activities, and major Japanese media outlets such as Daily Sports, Sports Nippon and Sports Hochi also gave significant coverage to the news of their showcase.
The seven-member boy group AEN, composed of four Koreans and three Japanese, carries the meaning "a new era of now," redefining this moment, while also conveying the Japanese meaning of "eternity (永遠)." AEN will formally enter the music scene by releasing the debut mini album A NEW ERA OF NOW on Aug. 5, led by the title track X to Z.
