Comedian Shim Jin-hwa said she once followed her husband Kim Won-hyo's schedule because she wanted to secretly see Kim Young-chul.

That day Kim Young-chul held a birthday party with his fan and junior comedians Shim Jin-hwa and Lee Kyung-boon. Shim Jin-hwa and Lee Kyung-boon said they were the president and vice president of his fan club.
Shim Jin-hwa said she liked Kim Young-chul even before her debut and opened by saying, "After I debuted, my husband Kim Won-hyo was a guest on Kim Young-chul's radio show."

Shim Jin-hwa said, "But one day (SBS open recruitment junior) Kyung-boon learned that I had become somewhat close to Young-chul oppa and said, 'Senior, please introduce me to Young-chul oppa!' That's how the 'Young-chul fans' gathering started," which brought laughter.
Lee Kyung-boon said, "There may be people who like him as much as I do," and added, "At first they say, 'Ugh, I'm sick of it,' but at some point they fall head over heels. He wears a BoA wig and imitates BoA, and it really seemed impressive that he didn't worry about BoA's fan club."
At this, Kim Young-chul asked, "Are you my fan or an anti-fan?" which drew laughter.
