The group ENHYPEN unfolds a paradoxical story through contrasting keywords of "sin (SIN)" and "bliss (BLISS)" in its new release.
ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Niki) announced the release of mini album 8, THE SIN : BLISS, at 12 a.m. on the 13th through the official community of global superfans platform Weverse. The new release will begin preorders at 11 a.m. that day, and will be released on various music sites at 1 p.m. on Aug. 21.
This album is the second story in the "THE SIN" series, which is themed around "sin." While the previous mini album 7, THE SIN : VANISH, depicted the narrative of lovers who broke the taboos of vampire society and chose to flee, the new release captures the emotions and changes in their relationship encountered at the end of that journey. No matter what conclusion awaits, the story of the two accepting being together itself as a "blessing" will unfold with a deeper emotional tone.
For this comeback, the title track music video will not be unveiled simultaneously with the audio release but will be released at 12 a.m. on Aug. 22, one day later. In addition, while activities are in full swing, trailer Vol. 2 content will be additionally released on the 25th and 26th.
ENHYPEN has continued to differentiate itself through original storytelling. They completed a single narrative through concept albums that organically connected songs and narration, and received praise for immersive content such as structuring an entire album like an investigative news program. They also operated the website "Vampire Now," which presented incidents, lifestyle, fashion and health information of vampire society in article format so fans could enjoy the universe more three-dimensionally.
The agency Belift Lab Inc. said, "THE SIN : BLISS contains a dark fantasy narrative about new changes that come to lovers who are on the run and the way their bond grows stronger through that process," and added, "We have prepared various content so ENGENE can become more immersed in the story, so please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is meeting global fans through the world tour BLOOD SAGA ahead of the comeback. While continuing performances in eight cities in South America and North America from the 4th through Sept. 1, they are scheduled to meet domestic fans again in Busan on Sept. 8 and 9.
