Actress Son Tae-young said that as she adjusted to life in the United States, her English skills have improved considerably.

Visiting the Chelsea area of Manhattan, New York, Son Tae-young looked for a rooftop restaurant she recommends. "I hadn't been here for a while, so I came last summer and it has been almost a year since then," she said, and ordered and ate lobster roll, roasted asparagus, and grilled shrimp salad.

Meanwhile, Son Tae-young married fellow actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008, and the following year welcomed her first son, Luk-hee, and in 2015 she held her second child, daughter Ri-ho. Since 2019, she has been living in New Jersey, United States, for her children's education.
