Actor Lee Dongwook said he served in the military with Gong Yoo.
On the 12th, in the final episode of tvN's 'Together so radiant god - Goblin 10th anniversary trip (directed by Hwang Da-won, hereinafter Goblin 10th anniversary trip)', the last journey of Gong Yoo, Lee Dongwook, Kim Go-eun and Yoo In-na, who went on a 2 Days & 1 Night nostalgic trip to Gangneung, unfolded.
That day Yoo In-na wondered when the relationship between Lee Dongwook and Gong Yoo began. When Lee Dongwook said "(we first met) in the military," Yoo In-na asked, "Did you serve in the military together?"
In response, Gong Yoo teased, saying, "You don't 'attend' the military, you 'go' and 'come out.' What is the military, a university?" which drew laughter. Lee Dongwook recalled, "We did serve together, but I was a private first class then and Gong Yoo hyung was a sergeant major."
He then joked that the rank gap was so large that "I couldn't even look up at him." Gong Yoo agreed, saying, "You can't even step on his shadow," and Lee Dongwook added, "Now that I'm saying it, I washed all of Gong Yoo's underwear and socks," prompting laughter.
Gong Yoo admitted, "You have to fold underwear perfectly, and Lee Dongwook did that well," and Lee Dongwook went further, saying, "I practically raised Gong Yoo," which caused uproarious laughter.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo and Lee Dongwook said that although they did serve in the military together, the period wasn't long and the rank difference was large, so they didn't become close then, and they became closer after working hard together while filming the drama 'Goblin'.
