KBS 2TV 'Boss in the Mirror' (directed by Choi Seung-hee, hereafter "Boss in the Mirror") is a program of voluntary role-reversal and self-reflection by bosses in Korea to create workplaces where people want to work. On today (12th) at 4:40 p.m., "Boss in the Mirror" will feature the Lee Kyung-kyu–Yang Joon-hyuk team and the Jun Hyun-moo–Jung Ho-young team conducting market research to develop a new Mexico-inspired menu. As the two teams crisscrossed various parts of Monterrey for local gourmet exploration, an extreme-contrast tour was teased, raising expectations.
Lee Kyung-kyu and Yang Joon-hyuk head to a Monterrey local restaurant boasting 40 years of tradition. The two encounter a generous spread of the region's representative dish, goat meat "cabrito" barbecue. Their brief immersion in the hearty, homey local cuisine is overturned when footage of Jun Hyun-moo and Jung Ho-young's exploration is revealed.
Jun Hyun-moo and Jung Ho-young visit a Michelin restaurant in San Pedro, called the "Cheongdam-dong of Monterrey." The head chef personally comes to the table, recognizes Jung Ho-young at a glance and offers a respectful greeting, then presents a carefully prepared multi-course meal. Watching this, Lee Kyung-kyu's eyes could not believe what they saw, and he reacted with stunned pupils. He then yelled, "Nobody came to us, so what is that!," creating uproarious laughter in the studio, according to reports.
When footage showed Jun Hyun-moo and Jung Ho-young enjoying six sequential courses accompanied by an explanation from the Mexican head chef who knew the "Culinary Class Wars" season 2, Lee Kyung-kyu's envy reached a peak mixed with jealousy. Lee Kyung-kyu exclaimed, "They serve such a variety of dishes? They just brought ours all at once?," widening his eyes, and then blurted, "I should have gone there! I'm so mad I could die!," prompting everyone to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, that day Jun Hyun-moo grabbed attention by revealing a behind-the-scenes story about Lee Kyung-kyu's spicy scolding during their "Qualifications of Men" days. Jun Hyun-moo said, "When we did 'Qualifications of Men,' I lived with digestive medicine because of Kyung-kyu hyung."
He said, "The things I heard most from Kyung-kyu hyung at the time were 'stop saying useless things' and 'you're talking nonsense,'" delivering a frank remark. He recalled the former chemistry of "Qualifications of Men," mentioning Lee Yoon-seok and Yoon Hyung-bin, who would chime in during scoldings with "Sir, you are right," and Kim Tae-won, who would sneak up and fan the flames by asking, "Did you get scolded?," bringing huge laughter to the studio, according to reports.
Jun Hyun-moo worked as a KBS announcer before declaring himself a freelancer in 2012. After that he focused on variety activities and won the grand prize at the MBC Entertainment Awards in 2017, 2022 and 2024. In 2025 he also won the grand prize at the KBS Entertainment Awards, setting a record as the first former announcer to win an entertainment grand prize.
