Park Ji-young apologized for her immature attitude during an interview with Samsung Lions player Koo Ja-wook in professional baseball.
On the 12th, Park Ji-young opened by saying, "I sincerely apologize to the fans who felt uncomfortable regarding the MVP interview with player Koo Ja-wook that took place last Tuesday."
She said, "I intended to talk casually and pleasantly about the two players who play the same position and will be on the same team ahead of the All-Star Game, but with my immature questions and expressions I caused discomfort to the player and many others."
She continued, "I also thought I would talk about the performance with a fun smile, but regardless of intention, I believe my consideration for the player and fans was lacking," and repeated her apology, saying, "Above all, I offer my deep apologies to player Koo Ja-wook, who participated in the interview, and to player Chung Su-bin, who was mentioned during the interview."
She added, "I am deeply reflecting on the responsibilities and attitude an interviewer should have in light of this incident," and said, "To prevent the same thing from happening again, I will be more careful with every question and every expression and prepare meticulously. Once again, I sincerely apologize."
