Son Naeun captivated attention with deeper acting and high-level action in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama Manager Kim on the broadcasts on the 10th and 11th (written by Nam Daejung, directed by Lee Seungyoung, Lee Soeun). She portrayed a character torn between a cold-blooded agent and human compassion in her own way.
In Manager Kim, Son Naeun plays Jeong Sanga, an MZ trendsetter and a bank colleague of Manager Kim (So Jisub). Jeong Sanga, who appeared to be an ordinary colleague, was an undercover agent orbiting him to monitor Manager Kim.
Jeong Sanga began to feel human compassion when she realized Manager Kim was going on a rampage to find his daughter Kim Minji (Seo Sumin). She struggled between her duty as an agent and her human feelings as someone who had observed Manager Kim up close.
Jeong Sanga empathized with the unfortunate situation Manager Kim faced and at times helped track down the whereabouts of his daughter Kim Minji at his urgent request.
In the process, Son Naeun showed more matured acting and delicately developed the character. She handled emotional scenes with deeper acting ability and performed high-level action, revealing a new side. Calmly and sensitively portraying Jeong Sanga's struggles in three dimensions, she expanded her acting range.
