44-year-old pop star Britney Spears became embroiled in controversy again for another sudden act about four months after her DUI arrest.
On the 10th (local time), Page Six reported that Britney Spears was photographed leaning out of the sunroof of a vehicle driving on a Los Angeles road last Thursday. This occurred just a few months after she was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.
According to the report, Spears was standing upright on top of her SUV, leaning out of the sunroof while driving on Highway 101 near Studio City. She was reportedly traveling from her nearby residence.
Spears leaned her head back and stretched both arms above the roof as vehicles traveled at about 72 kph. In photos released, Spears wore a mini dress and let her hair flow on the midday road while leaning out of the sunroof for about two minutes.
A source said, "Spears only leaned out of the sunroof for a very brief moment. She wanted to check the traffic situation ahead to see why the vehicles were stopped," and added, "She wanted to know how long the traffic congestion would continue."
They went on, "Spears often behaved like this even as a child growing up in the southern United States. She really likes the warm summer breeze running through her hair. It's just fun," adding, "She is having an enjoyable summer and is happy. She is in a very good state right now."
Regarding this sudden behavior, they explained, "If leaning one's head out of the sunroof is illegal, she probably didn't know that," saying, "She did not do it with bad intentions at all."
Britney Spears was previously arrested on March 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in Ventura County, California, which sparked controversy. At the time, the court gave her 12 months of probation and ordered her to complete a drug treatment program, and she voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility to receive treatment.
