Actor Song Hyekyo is moving to a new agency founded by an AAP alumnus, and it was also revealed that he is currently the husband of the stylist.
On the morning of the 12th, Shin Jae-ho, a former AAP representative, issued an official statement saying, "Song Hyekyo is forming a consensus on future activity directions based on the trust built over a long period with a person who once worked with her on overseas activities," and "Please understand that we cannot provide specific details at this time."
Before joining AAP as its representative, Shin Jae-ho was a figure who helped with Song Hyekyo's work in China and overseas and worked with her. At the same time, he is the husband of the stylist who worked with Song Hyekyo for more than 20 years, and the two recently got married. Because of this, Song Hyekyo and Shin Jae-ho maintained a close relationship in private, and shortly after Song Hyekyo left UAA and became a free agent, they decided to join hands. Shin Jae-ho has currently expressed his intention to resign to AAP.
Earlier this month, in a phone call with OSEN, Shin Jae-ho cautiously replied to the question, "Did you hear the news that you will work with Song Hyekyo?" saying, "It's hard to give an exact answer because I am still affiliated with AAP. If there are changes, I will let you know." Having resigned in just two weeks, it appears he is formally contracting management with Song Hyekyo to start anew.
Initially it was reported that Song Hyekyo would run a one-person agency, but it is said that Shin Jae-ho will establish a new management company after his resignation and that Song Hyekyo will sign with that new management.
Meanwhile, Song Hyekyo parted ways with her agency UAA, which she had been with for 14 years.
UAA said, "UAA and Song Hyekyo, who have trusted each other and worked together for a long time, have decided to conclude their journey together up to now and cheer for each other's futures," and released an official statement saying, "Actor Song Hyekyo spent a long time with UAA and received great love not only in Korea but across Asia and the world. The time spent with her will remain happy and joyful memories. We ask fans to give Song Hyekyo warm interest, encouragement and love as she stands at a new starting line."
Song Hyekyo also added, "Every moment we shared will always remain a precious memory for me. I sincerely wish all the days of UAA the best!" and to the agency representative she added, "Thank you, sister♥"
