Recently, actor Lee Dong-ha, who became known to the public as Nam Manager in "Manager Kim," is back in the spotlight after it was revealed that he gave up his Italian citizenship to perform military service.
Lee Dong-ha appeared on SBS PowerFM's "Escape at Two Cultwo Show" in 2016 and talked about his Italian citizenship.
At the time, Cultwo asked Lee Dong-ha, "You were born in Italy. Why did you decide to give up Italian citizenship?" and Lee Dong-ha said, "I gave up my Italian citizenship to complete military service."
He added, "My parents are Korean, and there was no reason for me to go live in Italy, so I gave it up."
The reason Lee Dong-ha was born in Italy was because his parents were studying abroad there. He also revealed, "I lived in Italy until I was 3."
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-ha debuted in 2008 in the musical "Grease," and later appeared in the dramas "Secret Love," "It's Okay, That's Love," "Eve's Love," and "One More Happy Ending."
He became known to the public as Han Se-gyu, the lawyer in "Signal," and recently has been active playing Nam, Deputy Minister and right-hand man to Joo Kang-chan (portrayed by Joo Sang-Wook) in "Manager Kim."
Lee Dong-ha met Girl's Day's Sojin through the 2021 film "Monster Mansion," developed into a relationship, and they married in November 2023.
