The show "Do you want to eat ramen and come?", which started from a remark by actor Kim Nam-gil, is showing signs of another big hit following the Pinggyego 100th episode special.
On the 11th, the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun released the first episode of the summer vacation special project "2026 Summer Road Series - Do you want to eat ramen and come?". True to the content that drew attention with just the teaser, the video surpassed 2.5 million views by 8 a.m. on the 12th, just one day after it was released.
This content drew even more attention because it began with a remark by Kim Nam-gil. The Pinggyego 100th episode special, released in March, featured a talk with Yu Jae-seok and actors Ju Jihoon, Kim Nam-gil and Yoon Kyung-ho, who are counted among the chatterboxes of the entertainment industry. At the time, Kim Nam-gil told Yoon Kyung-ho, "I want to try a YouTube channel where I go eat ramen," and asked Yoon Kyung-ho, "Do you want to do a YouTube channel where you go eat ramen with me?" That one remark led to the actual content.
The Pinggyego 100th episode special has recorded more than 16.5 million views and received a passionate response. It even became one of DdeunDdeun channel's top three most-viewed videos. Kim Nam-gil said, "I received more phone calls in my life than ever. I got more calls than when a drama or movie did well," showing how surprised he was.
On this trip, the natural chemistry with Yu Jae-seok, Yoon Kyung-ho and Ju Jihoon shone even brighter. Known for enjoying motorcycle riding, Kim Nam-gil rode a bike with Ju Jihoon, showing another charm. Kim Nam-gil, who said he had been unable to ride for a while due to filming the SBS drama "Nightmare," was happier than anyone on the long-awaited ride. He fully enjoyed the wind and scenery and could not hide his excited expression, bringing smiles to viewers.
A surprising twist continued. The shoot fell on the day of the 2026 CONCACAF–UEFA World Cup match between Korea and Mexico. It was surprising to hear that during the 2002 World Cup Kim Nam-gil watched the Poland match while working part-time as a fitness trainer at a health club. The Pinggyego production team also attended Kim Nam-gil's fan meeting and shared an afterword that lasted more than five hours, adding to the laughter.
Riding the momentum from their first ramen shop visit, they teased that they would even attempt the ramen "one-bite challenge" that Yoon Kyung-ho had long wished for, arousing curiosity. What began with Kim Nam-gil's remark, "Do you want to eat ramen and come?", is drawing attention to whether it will become Pinggyego's hit spin-off item following "Pinggyego"'s 100th episode special and other hits such as Punghyanggo and "Chon-cance."
