In the released photos, Yoon Son-ha is shown against the food court of a large store in Vancouver, Canada, smiling brightly while holding a soft-serve ice cream cone in one hand. Wearing a beige cap and a comfortable gray sweatshirt, she especially pulled off an adorable twin-braided hairstyle, exuding a fresh and lovely charm not unlike someone in her 20s. Earlier, Yoon Son-ha stopped activities and left for Canada after her son became embroiled in a school violence controversy in 2017. At the time, SBS 8 News reported that at an elementary school in Seoul a child on a school retreat was beaten by four classmates, receiving diagnoses of rhabdomyolysis and post-traumatic stress disorder, but the perpetrator students, who included the grandson of a conglomerate chairman and the sons of famous entertainers, did not receive punishment, causing an uproar.
Later, Yoon Son-ha's son was identified as the "son of a famous entertainer," and Yoon Son-ha said the news coverage was distorted.
