The group Click-B reunited as a full lineup for the first time in 11 years, candidly acknowledging the long-standing rumors of discord and revealing the process of becoming one again.
On the 10th, the first broadcast of KBS2's Happy Together featured first-generation idol band Click-B appearing as a full lineup.
In response to the appearance of Click-B, who were hugely loved in the 1990s for their pretty-boy visuals and band concept, Yoon Jongshin said, "Are we seeing Click-B in full? They're the same as ever," expressing his delight.
The members recalled the time, saying, "We quickly built a fandom, but our mainstream recognition was weak," and, "It was the song that was recognized by winning first place on music shows as 'Baekjeonmupa' (unbeaten in a hundred battles)."
They also candidly revealed the reason they reunited as a full lineup after a whopping 11 years. Oh Jong-hyuk surprised everyone by saying, "The reason we couldn't be together for 11 years was because Min-hyuk and I didn't see each other." In response, Yoo Ho-seok laughed, saying, "How honest are you trying to be?" and Oh Jong-hyuk admitted the discord, saying, "Our values and directions were very different and our pride was strong. We cut ties and spent about 10 years apart."
But the reconciliation was unexpectedly quick. Oh Jong-hyuk said, "The members kept trying to get the two to meet, saying, 'At this rate we really won't be able to gather,'" and revealed, "We happened to meet in one place and talked, and everything was resolved in 15 minutes. Meeting in person easily cleared up the misunderstandings."
Upon hearing this, Yoo Jae-seok, Yoon Jongshin and Lee Hyori empathized, saying, "As you get older, fights among members aren't a big deal. It's like cutting water with a knife."
The reason Click-B decided to reunite was also unusual. The members said, "We're all over 40. If not now, each of us will have families and it will be harder to gather," and added, "We wanted to show that we will be together forever under the name 'Click-B.'"
That day Click-B delivered an emotional performance of their signature song 'Baekjeonmupa,' recreating the feeling from 25 years ago. After the stage, Oh Jong-hyuk said, "Now we seem to have a chance to repay the fans who waited for 11 years. I just want to have fun and enjoy it." He continued, "Personally, I am happy simply that the seven of us can stand on stage together," and laughed, saying, "Even though we've lived our own lives, when we gather it's the same as before. We bicker over trivial things and then chuckle. I thought, 'We really haven't changed.'"
Finally, Click-B said, "We are preparing a concert in August," and added, "We ask for your much interest and support."
