"The Seasons-Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy" filled Friday night with a music journey that connects generations.
On the 10th, KBS2 music talk show "The Seasons-Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy" featured Lee Seung-Chul, Choi Yuri, Kim Dae-myeung and Lucy (LUCY), leaving an afterglow with deep music talk and live performances.
As the fifteenth guest of the duet corner "Two People," Lee Seung-Chul, who celebrates his 40th debut anniversary this year, appeared. Returning to "The Seasons" after about a year and two months, he moved audiences by performing "Marlee Flower" as a duet with Sung Si Kyung and staged a daring performance taking song requests from the audience together with the "Emperor Band."
Lee Seung-Chul delivered an overwhelming performance reminiscent of a solo concert by performing various hits such as "There Is No One Like That," "Never Ending Story," and "Western Sky" in impromptu live versions. Lee Seung-Chul sincerely said, "I thank the fans and want to continue working actively with you in the future." Finally, Lee Seung-Chul passionately sang his long-loved hits such as "Heeya," "Girls' Generation," and "Fate," conveying the deep resonance of his 40-year musical journey.
After performing "When you stop thinking," Choi Yuri expressed gratitude for the resurgence after three years. Choi Yuri also introduced her new EP "Stay, Two." About the title track "Unrequited Love," she explained, "It's not a love that prepares for the next love, but a wish that the love you are in now would be the eternal last love." To this, Sung Si Kyung asked, "Are you loving diligently?" and Choi Yuri responded with a meaningful smile, "I am doing my best," making everyone laugh.
Kim Dae-myeung, who is meeting viewers through KBS2's new Saturday-Sunday drama "The Husband," looked back on when he dreamed of becoming an actor, saying, "When I was a high school senior, I watched the film 'Christmas in August' and had the vague dream of wanting to do this kind of work." To this, Sung Si Kyung joked, "You like music and movies and food, and you're still single, which is similar to me," drawing laughter.
Lucy opened with the first track "Germination" from their second full-length album and shared the feeling of successfully completing their first solo concert at KSPO DOME (former Gymnastics Stadium) since debut. Four months after discharge, Shin Gwang-il said, "I took a break from drums during military service and was very nervous for the comeback stage," and revealed a dizzying behind-the-scenes moment: "Just before the encore, while doing a drum solo, my mind went blank. After finishing the stage and exiting, I have no memory." For future goals, Shin Ye-chan said, "My biggest dream is to perform healthily and actively for a long time under the name Lucy. After KSPO DOME, I want to stand on the Gocheok Dome stage someday," expressing his ambition.
