Singer Jeon Young-rok revealed the reasons for remarrying his wife, who is 16 years younger, and the recent status of his two sons.
Recently aired MBN entertainment program 'Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night' featured contemporaries born in 1954, Hye Eun-yi and Jeon Young-rok, who shared their life stories.
That day Jeon Young-rok opened up about why he decided to remarry after the pain of one divorce.
He said "I originally had no intention of remarrying. I was worried whether I could share my life with someone again," while also saying that "still, I had a strong desire to have a child," explaining the reason he decided to remarry.
He went on to say, "The two daughters from my previous marriage became independent after graduating high school," and smiled, saying, "Perhaps blessed by remarrying, two sons were born."
However, he said, "On the other hand, I couldn't save money. I spent it all on raising and educating the children," and Hye Eun-yi, hearing this, retorted, "Don't be dramatic. Don't you get royalties? You have about 300 songs," which brought laughter. To this Jeon Young-rok replied, "During the COVID-19 period, royalties became the children's tuition."
He also revealed the recent status of his two sons. Jeon Young-rok proudly said, "They inherited the talent, so both are studying vocal music," adding, "The eldest graduated from Seoul National University, and the younger is active as a musical actor."
He added, "I don't need anything else; I'm most envious of their height," saying, "The eldest is about 185cm, and the younger also exceeds 180cm," looking pleased. He also joked, "As a father I tried to pass on clothes, but instead I end up wearing my sons' small clothes," turning the studio into a sea of laughter.
