With actress Park Ji-hyun having left the cast, Flex x Cop 2, which is set to premiere in August, unveiled a special guest lineup reminiscent of an awards show.
The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama Flex x Cop 2, which premieres on Aug. 7 (produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, BA Entertainment), is a comedy-crime series about chaebol detective Jin I-su, who overturns cases with wealth when investigations hit a wall, and new team leader Ju Hye-ra's money-powered, upbeat, refreshing and satisfying cooperative investigations. It is a work that forms one pillar of SBS's soda-universe alongside Taxi Driver, The Fiery Priest and The Judge from Hell, and is attracting attention as a promising title expected to energetically kick off SBS's trusted 2026 season-based drama lineup.
As So Jisub's Manager Kim rides an upward trend with a peak viewership of 21.6%, the production of Flex x Cop 2, which follows it on the air, announced special appearances including Kim Eui-sung, who appeared as a cameo in season 1's first episode; Park So-i, hailed as an "acting genius"; Lee Hak-ju, who boasts character versatility across genres; solidly grounded actor Choi Deok-mun; distinctive scene-stealer Lee Seok; and the wide-ranging actor Son Woo-hyun.
They went on to introduce as part of the special guest lineup Heo Sung-tae, who is acclaimed for an irreplaceable presence; Jung Chaeyeon, a youth actor beloved by the public; Jeon Hye-bin, who raises the drama's density with delicate acting; Joo Hyun-young, who has chameleonlike charm; musical-stage standout Min Kyung-ah; and the dependable veteran actor Kim Hye-eun.
