Broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung joked after realizing she had misspoken while talking about Namkoong Min's appearance management and immediately apologized, drawing laughter.
On the 10th, actor Namkoong Min appeared as a guest on KBS2 variety show 'Problem Child in House.'
That day, returning to KBS with a new drama, 'The Husband,' after seven years, Namkoong Min said he deliberately managed his appearance less for the work. Namkoong Min said "I managed it a little more gently than usual," and upon hearing this, Joo Woo Jae joked, "Because you're a married man?" Namkoong Min laughed and replied, "There is that," and Kim Jong Kook snapped back, "Do married men not take care of themselves?" which provoked laughter.
Namkoong Min also said, "I usually shape my body to fit the character," and explained, "This role is an ordinary doctor. I wanted to show how an ordinary person overcomes this crisis, so I matched a realistic visual."
Hearing this, Hong Jin Kyung admired, "You analyze the character properly," and Namkoong Min joked, "If I don't do that, I won't make money."
But then Hong Jin Kyung's remark flooded the studio with laughter. Hong Jin Kyung said, "Can't he come out like a married man? Like an ajusshi..." and described a truly realistic visual. Then Song Eun I replied, "Then you won't watch the (drama), will you?" and Hong Jin Kyung admitted, "That's true. That's why actors need to be pretty and handsome."
Listening to this, Kim Jong Kook pointed out, "That sounds like a risky remark, doesn't it?" and Hong Jin Kyung immediately bowed and said, "I will apologize quickly," prompting uproarious laughter on set.
