Actor Choi Daniel, who has risen to prominence as a variety show favorite, laid waste to the My Little Old Boy studio with unabashed banter and a twist of charm beyond imagination.
In the SBS My Little Old Boy airing at 9 p.m. on the 12th, Choi Daniel, appearing as a special MC, is expected to deliver enormous laughs to viewers at home by unleashing shocking personal-life behind-the-scenes stories never heard before.
At a recent recording, Choi Daniel confessed to a shocking appetite completely at odds with his smart image, turning the studio upside down.
He nonchalantly drinks milk that is as much as three weeks past its expiration date, and he revealed, "I cut away only the moldy part of food and just eat the rest," prompting a chorus of admonitions from the show's mothers. He also revealed the peculiar taste that even at the age of 40 he still enjoys drinking infant formula to get nutrients (?), proving himself to be an all-time memorable "My little troublesome son."
His past love life was also unabashed. Choi Daniel recounted a striking anecdote in which he had his first kiss with an older woman during a drinking-party version of the 'king game' in his twenties.
Hearing this, MC Seo Jang-hoon could not hide his surprise, saying, "Not even a peck but a first kiss?", and MC Shin Dong-yeob teasingly shot back, "The king ordered it, so you must not refuse," completing a lively rapport. Choi Daniel said that after the first kiss he fell sincerely for that woman and even went to confess his feelings in person, sparking viewers' curiosity about how that earnest, straightforward romance ended.
Especially that day's focal point was Choi Daniel's pink-hued confession toward comedian Jang Do-youn.
Having worked with Jang Do-youn on the variety program Six Singles Under One Roof, Choi Daniel confessed he had long been an ardent fan of Jang Do-youn, who is one year older, and said, "I decided to appear on the show because of Jang Do-youn," sending the studio into a commotion.
When asked the sharp question, "Have you ever been actually thrilled during filming?", Choi Daniel answered frankly without hesitation, "I have been thrilled," creating a charged atmosphere. Surprised by the unexpected direct answer, MC Seo Jang-hoon is said to have exclaimed, "I was shocked even after asking. I thought he'd say some other predictable story," clicking his tongue.
