"Burn to Win" fighters declared an intense internal lineup war ahead of their showdown with high school baseball powerhouse Seongnam High.
Episode 9 of the Studio C1 baseball variety show "Burn to Win 2," which will be released at 8 p.m. on the 13th, depicts the tearful struggle of Burn to Win fighters desperate to play, stimulating baseball fans' dopamine.
At a recent recording, the locker room heated up with the appearance of Oh Seung-hwan. Lee Dae-ho, born in 1982 and the same age, fired a blunt pitch as soon as he saw Oh Seung-hwan, asking, "Why did you come instead of doing YouTube?" It was a playful jab at Oh Seung-hwan, who, after his first appearance against Dankook University, had not been on the mound for about three weeks and was involuntarily in a "hiatus".
Oh Seung-hwan shot back without losing, replying, "You didn't call me," prompting laughter at the scene. Attention is focused on whether Oh Seung-hwan, whose appearances had been delayed, can take the mound in the Seongnam High game and reaffirm the majesty of the "final boss."
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-geun manager's "beloved doll" Jeong Geun-woo suffered unexpected job insecurity. When Director General Jang Si-won suddenly revealed the training participation rankings, Jeong sensed a troubling atmosphere. During warm-ups, conscious of Kim Sung-geun manager's gaze, Jeong Geun-woo showed passionate batting practice but struggled as things did not go as he hoped, making him anxious, according to reports.
On the other hand, there was someone who personally practiced the Fighters' rule "No practice, no game." That was part-timer Jeong Hoon. After joining, Jeong Hoon attended training three times over three weeks, recording a higher attendance rate than existing players and turning on a green light for entry into the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, unidentified "angry people" appeared at Seongnam High's warm-up site, drawing attention. Song Seung-jun and Jeong Hoon, angry about comparatively few playing opportunities, transformed into one-day reporters.
The two set out to find the captain and the ace to aggressively target Seongnam High. In particular, Lee Dongwook, the son of NC Dinos manager Lee Ho-jun and the captain of Seongnam High, unabashedly revealed the "Fighters pitcher targeting method" he received directly from his father, making veteran pitcher Song Seung-jun break a sweat. Jeong Hoon also asked the Seongnam High ace questions full of personal interest, turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
According to the production team, in episode 9 a shocking lineup that overturned everyone's expectations was revealed, sharply dividing the players' fortunes. In particular, one player who was regrettably excluded from the lineup is said to have shone with an all-time great performance in the dugout instead of on the field, raising curiosity about who the protagonist might be. It can be watched via exclusive streaming on Studio C1's official YouTube channel.<
