The trend girl group RESCENE (RESCENE), which sparked a 9 million-view sensation with the "Geoje yaho" and "parapara" memes, is making its first terrestrial network variety show appearance.
On the 11th at 11:10 p.m., the MBC variety program Omniscient Interfering View (hereafter "Omniscient Interfering View") will air episode 406, in which RESCENE (Wonyi, Rive, Minami, Mei, Jena)'s 100% real surreal dormitory life and touching growth story will be unveiled on broadcast for the first time.
In that episode, RESCENE turns the living room sofa into a stage for an intense dance battle, and the five members deliver candid, friendly, high-school-girl–like charm as they each express hometown pride in five distinct ways. In particular, the moving boxes piled up throughout the house and the dust-filled, realism-packed dormitory scenes will be fully revealed, sure to capture viewers' attention.
Above all, the members' unique communal life, in which they stick together like one body 24 hours a day, is another point of interest. In a dormitory with only one bathroom, it is standard for all five members to bathe together, and they share everything from cosmetics and clothes to perfume. RESCENE's distinctive "5-1=0" dormitory lifestyle is expected to provide fresh entertainment.
Furthermore, global top stars BTS's Jungkook and TWICE joined the "RESCENE yaho~" craze, quickly elevating them to the ranks of trendsetting idols, and their behind-the-scenes stories will be revealed. The members say they live dreamlike days, checking music charts every morning as soon as they wake up.
But there was hidden effort behind reaching their current position. RESCENE surprised everyone with a startling confession that at debut they voluntarily surrendered personal phones, saying "I wanted to succeed," and revealed a "shared phone usage rule" used only among members. The story recounts how the members' earnest feelings and determination, nurtured as they started from nothing as an "independent small-group idol," led to their miracle.
