Two months after the death of Darrell Sheets, a cast member of the U.S. reality show 'Storage Wars', the tragic contents of a handwritten suicide note he left behind have been released, shocking the public. The cause of death was revealed to be suffering from cyberbullying (online harassment).
On the 9th (local time), according to the Daily Mail, the Lake Havasu City Police Department recently revealed the contents of the handwritten suicide note left by Darrell Sheets through a report on the circumstances of his death. Darrell Sheets was found dead at his Arizona home on April 22 at the age of 67, and police concluded it was an intentional act from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The handwritten suicide note found in the deceased's bathroom closet at his home suggested he had been suffering severe cyberbullying through social media. The note reportedly contained a harsh line reading "I couldn't stand the Facebook harassment anymore. X, go to hell" along with content that seemed directed at a specific person. In fact, the deceased had been tormented for weeks before his death by a "cyberbullying stalker" trying to steal his identity, and the police had been conducting the investigation with that in mind.
According to the report, Darrell Sheets suffered from insomnia caused by severe stress for several months before his death. His girlfriend testified in the investigation that "the night before his death he couldn't sleep and got out of bed," and she recalled the horrific moment when a gunshot was heard right after he told her "go back to sleep." She also said he was deeply distraught after a heated argument with his son Brandon Sheets just before his death and was greatly upset by text messages from his daughter-in-law that suggested financial problems. A postmortem examination found no trace of drugs or narcotics in his body.
In the past, Darrell Sheets had candidly confessed about his depression to raise public awareness. In 2018 he warned strongly about the dangers of depression, saying on social media, "Depression steals our smiles, ruins relationships and sometimes leads to suicide. Please be kind when you see someone suffering from depression," noting that those with depression must fight a 24-hour battle, making the tragic end to his life all the more sorrowful.
His son Brandon Sheets posted happy photos with his father on social media for Father's Day and his birthday, saying "I will live honoring my father's legacy. I will continue the legacy my father built," moving those who saw it. Colleague Brandi Passante, who appeared with him on the show, also offered comfort, saying, "I offer my deepest condolences for this unbelievably painful loss."
Meanwhile, Darrell Sheets appeared 163 times on A&E Channel's hit reality show 'Storage Wars' from 2010 to 2023, earning great love from fans around the world.<
