A tracing report of an unprecedentedly violent case that nearly went cold is revealed.
On the 10th, T-cast E Channel 'Brave Detective5' (directed by Lee Ji-seon) episode 16 will feature Yoon Jung-seok and Lee Young-dong granting an account of the chilling case they uncovered after relentless pursuit and reveal the tearful behind-the-scenes details of the investigation.
The first case introduced in that episode opens with a tragic emergency call in which a young schoolgirl urgently shouted, "My older brother is collapsed and bleeding heavily." The scene was a house in a remote area with little development. In the backyard a man in his 20s was found dead from excessive bleeding, and dozens of brutal stab wounds covered his body, shocking the studio.
At the time of the incident, only the victim and his younger sister were in the house. The younger sister testified that she had been watching TV peacefully when all the power in the house suddenly went out, and that the power came back on after her older brother went outside to check the fuse box, but not long after another outage occurred and her brother went out into the yard again and never returned.
Investigators found the breaker was down but there was no problem with the electrical equipment itself. In other words, someone intentionally cut the power to lure the victim outside in a planned crime. Above all, the younger sister's testimony froze everyone. When she went out to the yard looking for her brother, she encountered a man running out of the backyard who even called her brother's "name." The identity of the man who quietly spoke the name upon meeting the younger sister immediately after the brutal crime generates chills.
The second case introduced is equally mysterious. The investigation began when a taxi drenched in blood was discovered. Although the taxi's front bumper was damaged and blood covered the interior from the driver's seat to the back seat, the taxi driver's whereabouts were unknown. Only a single fingerprint, presumed to be the perpetrator's, was left at the scene, and the victim's cell phone and the vehicle's black box had disappeared.
In the worst-case scenario with no witnesses, the investigation team relentlessly retraced the taxi's route on the day of the incident. After persistent CCTV analysis, they finally captured decisive movements of a man suspected of being the perpetrator. When the unbelievable identity of the person who stole the life of a hardworking taxi driver was revealed, even profiler Kwon Il-yong could not hide his anger, calling it "an absurd case."
