Super Junior's Leeteuk and Heechul's new unit 'Super Junior-83z' realizes being together and apart within the unit album.
The first mini album of Super Junior-83, 'Promise (너를 위한 약속)', to be released on the 13th, also includes solo songs by the two members. The new release contains six tracks in total, including the title track 'Promise (너를 위한 약속)' and the two members' solo songs.
Leeteuk's solo song "Bad Name" (배드 네임) is an R&B pop song with a signature bass line enhanced by sensuous brass sounds, and Leeteuk wrote the lyrics himself. "Bad Name" uses a love story as a metaphor to express the will to find oneself free from false emotions and the earnest desire to overcome being trapped by trauma, and it is a song that captivates with Leeteuk's distinctive vocals and delicate emotional lines.
Heechul's solo song "GODOGNAM" (고독남) is impressive for its unforgettable melody and lively sound, and the lyrics written by Heechul cleverly tell the story of a man who used to enjoy solitude falling into an unexpected love.
Super Junior-83z is a new unit introduced from Super Junior, which celebrates its 21st anniversary this year, and the two peers born in 1983, Leeteuk and Heechul, showcase what they do best.
Attention is also drawn to the fact that the two released solo songs on the unit's first album, including tracks with completely different feels. Leeteuk emphasizes musical maturity, while Heechul adds his unique personality and cheerful energy to enhance the album's listening appeal.
